All of the Paints We Used in The McGee Home
Sharing the shades, the sheens, and even the color percentages used in The McGee Home!

Out of all the questions we have gotten since the reveal of our home,
“What paint color is that?” is probably the most regularly asked.
Although you can find the paint colors in The McGee Home in our photo tours, we thought it would be fun to do a roundup of every paint color we used for quick reference.
In this post, we’re sharing the shades, the sheens, and even the color percentages, used in each room!
First, here are a few FAQS:
What Do You Mean By Color Percentage?
We painted most of the interior walls in The McGee Home in the color “Swiss Coffee,” by Benjamin Moore at 75% strength, meaning that it’s just slightly less saturated than it is at the full percentage.
When we put the samples on the walls, we loved it but felt that it needed to be just a pinch lighter, but not a full shade down. We went to the paint store and had them mix the shade at 75% strength, and it was a perfect balance! Lesson learned: Don’t be afraid to think out of the box with your paints!
What Sheens Do You Use?
When it comes to finishes, we prefer to switch it up on our walls, trim, and ceilings. In The McGee home, we painted our walls in a matte finish, our baseboards in a satin finish, and our ceilings in a flat finish throughout.
Did You Paint Your Windows Or Did They Come White?
We painted our windows the same color as the walls, “Swiss Coffee,” by Benjamin Moore at 75% strength.
How Did You Decide On Paint Colors?
There are endless paint colors to choose from, and although we always have our favorites in our back pocket, it can still be so difficult to narrow them down! Like many finishes in design, we always order swatches and try out different options before we make a final decision.
In The McGee Home, we tested multiple swatches in each area and observed them throughout the day to see how they adjusted with the natural light, and we highly recommend doing this!
