A newly designed entry and sitting room!
Our latest story for Domino Mag is now live...hooray! We had to narrow down our photos for the article quite a bit, so we'll be sharing the expanded tour with some sources here. We've been working on this renovation since we lived in California and I was just a one-woman show. It is safe to say that when I entered this home for the first time, I gasped. It was the most over-the-top Tuscan house I had ever seen. And after living in Orange County for awhile, that is saying something! For the tour, we'll be starting with the entry. Here is the before:
I have been sharing progress from the Midway house for over a year now and am so excited to finally share the tour! This project is near and dear to me as it is my parents' home. After living in Texas for 20 years, they decided to leave the humidity and build their dream home in the mountains. Located just outside of Park City, Midway is quite possibly the most idyllic little town I've ever seen - the perfect place for grandkids to throw rocks in ponds, sled down hills and "MOO" at the cows.
This entryway opens up to this living room and I think they make quite the pair. It’s a small little landing area, but it holds all of my entry essentials – a tray for corralling keys and loose change, a family photo, pretty rug and a hint of gold. And although it isn’t always a necessity, I generally like to put mirrors in the entry for one last hair check before heading out the door.
