Upon entering the home, you are greeted by the entry and vestibule which also open to the office. I had this vision of a white and airy home with a few rooms that really contrasted for a bit of drama. The office seemed like the perfect spot to do that. With its herringbone floors and Deep Royal walls, I think it might be my favorite room in the house:
As most of you know, after several years of running my design business from the spare bedroom of our home, my husband and I decided to take a big leap of faith and go into business together. We believed in our gut that relocating from Orange County to Salt Lake City was the right decision for many reasons. You can read more about it here.
I hate to play favorites, but this is one of my favorite rooms to date! My client, like me, loves a clean aesthetic with hints of glamour and natural elements – modern furniture, paired with natural textures, brass, and pops of color, deliver just that. The result is a fresh workspace that hides clutter and feels bright and inspiring.
I’m excited to share this little office nook today – it is a prime example of how smart space-planning goes a longgg way. When my clients first moved in, we knew it was a small room that needed to accomplish big things – they needed a serene space with a large desk to pay bills and get work done, secondary seating, and lots of storage.
