I can't believe today is the final day of the tour! After a year+ of work, we've shared it all in one week. I'm so proud of our whole team. I might be the voice of our business, but this is not a one person job! We've got a team of designers, interns, ordering specialists, and project managers working closely with the build team throughout the process. And of course, a really talented photographer to capture the way it feels. Every person's contribution, big or small, goes toward building something really beautiful. I JUST REALLY LOVE WHAT WE DO.
Let's talk about the basement, shall we? We started with all sorts of weird angles and drab colors. With Steve's team, the lines were cleaned up, duct work hidden, and the entire basement was pushed out beyond the original footprint.
I love the eat-in kitchen concept. The island functions as both a counter surface and table to save space. The white walls and trim throughout the basement are Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace and the island is Hale Navy. We mixed materials and did concrete counters on the surround and Carrara marble on the island and backsplash.
The kitchen opens up to this living area and we wanted to create a fun lounge space. Instead of doing a theater room, our clients opted for a huge TV and a really great place to hang. As you can see, the shape of the space stayed exactly the same...
But now it feels COMPLETELY different!
This under-the-closet playroom is the cutest little space ever!
