You've seen the great room and kitchen, so let's move to the master wing. The home is U-shaped allowing for two really long wings on either side of the great room. The floor plan is part of what makes the house such a standout because it allows for SO MANY WINDOWS. And if you've followed us for awhile, you know that natural light is my favorite. We really wanted to keep things calm and neutral to let all the texture do the talking. The big statement in the room is the soaring board formed concrete fireplace. And the Eames lounger. And the massive linen headboard. And the list goes on...
In the master bathroom, two floating vanities face each other and I'm kind of obsessed with how the custom stain turned out. We didn't want it to be too gray or too brown and I think it turned out juuuust right. The matte black fixtures are the perfect blend of modern and rustic:
The office is next door to the master suite - it might be neutral, but it certainly isn't boring. If you look closely, you'll see lots of really incredible nature photography in most of the rooms...Travis trekked all around the property a few months ago for us to blow up pictures and frame throughout the home!
There is so much house to show in so little time that I'm kind of jumping all over the place. The mudroom has two walls of lockers for all those coats/boots/helmets/etc. and a big-A custom bench we designed to roughen up those sleek cabinets. The floors are actually porcelain tiles that look like concrete!
And don't get me wrong, I love white shiplap...but these black shiplap walls take things to a whole new level:
