Coastal Prep in the Pacific Palisades: Entry, Living & Dining

I can hardly even believe it has been a year since we started working with this client! At the time, they were in the process of relocating from North Carolina to one of the prettiest neighborhoods in LA. They had purchased a spec home that was already under construction and the builder was letting them customize some of the finishes throughout (lighting, floors, paint colors, countertops, and hardware). The exterior design was already really pretty, the floorplan was great, and the existing plans included lots of trim work. However, this builder did not mess around with timing - I have never in my life seen so many crews on a site at one time. Instead of the deadlines getting pushed back (like usual)...they got pushed sooner!

What started as a job to select finishes turned into furnishing the whole house...and I'm so glad it did! Our team loved the challenge of meshing an East Coast meets West Coast vibe.

First up, the entry, formal living and dining rooms. When you walk in the door, you can see all of this at once, so it was important that everything flowed without becoming monotonous. Even though the home didn't have a clearly defined entry, we created one! This little spot might be my favorite in the whole house - I just love the mix of materials here.
