Rangeview Reno: The Entry

Our latest story for Domino Mag is now live...hooray! We had to narrow down our photos for the article quite a bit, so we'll be sharing the expanded tour with some sources here. We've been working on this renovation since we lived in California and I was just a one-woman show. It is safe to say that when I entered this home for the first time, I gasped. It was the most over-the-top Tuscan house I had ever seen. And after living in Orange County for awhile, that is saying something! For the tour, we'll be starting with the entry. Here is the before:

The owners wanted fresh, warm and modern. We obviously had our work cut out for us. This renovation was more about taking away than adding to it. We streamlined the design from floor to ceiling - banister, baseboards, fireplace, lighting, hardware, built-ins, and wood floors. Here is the after:
