Oxford Road: Episode 6
For six weeks, you've followed Oxford Road from empty rooms to install day. You've seen the deadlines, the last-minute pivots, and the hundreds of decisions that shaped one of the most ambitious homes we've ever designed. Now, with the family settled in and the work complete, it's finally time to slow down.
Rather than another behind-the-scenes episode, this finale is something different: a personal walkthrough of the finished home with Shea. Room by room, she shares the thinking behind the architecture, the materials, the craftsmanship, and the details that quietly connect the entire project—from reclaimed Italian floors and handcrafted steel windows to commissioned artwork, custom millwork, and antiques sourced from around the world.
What you'll notice is that no decision exists in isolation. A curved opening in the great room reappears in the kitchen. Exterior stone is carried indoors. Colors, materials, and architectural details repeat in subtle ways, creating a home that feels layered, collected, and deeply connected from one space to the next. Throughout the tour, Shea also shares the designer principles behind many of the home's defining moments—why the kitchen was intentionally made more intimate, how each of the seven children's rooms reflects a unique personality, and why even the smallest styling details were chosen with purpose.
Oxford Road has always been about more than revealing a finished house. It has been an opportunity to share the work behind the work—the collaboration, craftsmanship, and thoughtful decision-making that bring a home like this to life. We couldn't think of a better way to end the series than by walking through it together, one final time, with the person who imagined it from the very beginning.
