Oxford Road: Episode 2
With less than a week until the Parade of Homes photo shoot, the team can finally see the finish line—and they're feeling the pressure. Install week is in full swing as they work room by room through the spaces where this family of nine will gather most: the chef's kitchen, the scullery, the conservatory, and the dining room.
Oak cabinetry anchors the kitchen and scullery, countertops are installed just in time, and two Steinway pianos finally make their way into the conservatory while everyone watches the clock. Meanwhile, artist James Mobley transforms the dining room and craft room with hand-painted murals, adding personality to spaces that are still coming together. But the biggest test of the week arrives in the form of a massive solid stone dining table. Getting it into the room is one thing. Making sure it actually fits is another.
As Shea puts it, “I'm panicking. I'm nervous.”
