Location: Lehi, UT
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for attending to many tasks that ensure that goods are shipped and delivered in a timely manner, and up to brand standards, while also making sure that inventory levels are sufficiently maintained.
Schedule Shipments and Deliveries
Oversee the transportation of products/goods from one location to another, such as customer delivery and/or warehouses to stores. To do so, you will arrange product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies, and conduct a cost analysis of several transportation options to select one that is cost-efficient and best practices for the manufacturer.
Build Relationships with Vendors and Customers
Communicate with LTL companies, warehouse supervisors, brokers, and customers. You must ensure that all parties are working together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner.
Contact various transportation companies to get shipping quotes and decide on best carriers based on cost, availability, and reliability.
Manage vendor IMAP and pricing agreements, work with buying and merchandise planning teams on rolling out changes and information.
Maintain Warehouse Inventory
Work directly with Merchandise Planning to determine customer demands/needs, and manage inventory based on these needs.
Analyzing product orders to research the need for in-stock items and inventory levels.
You will oversee all processes as they are related to damages and claims, and followthrough to ensure proper credits and payments are recovered. Work with customer service after a claim has been handled at the customer level to follow through with all appropriate parties.
Determine which products are better returned to vendor, and which should be moved to warehouse sale for recouped costs. This will also include recording amounts we have paid out or owe on each piece so we can determine the proper course of action for inventory on hand.
Oversee quarterly and ongoing collection scrub needs to ensure accuracy (unit cost changes / discontinued items, etc.)
Oversee Ordering Team
You are responsible for managing requests for time off and out of office time for your team. This means being aware of increased demands, promotions, etc., and making sure that your team has coverage.
Assist in identifying needs and/or concerns from your team to upper management so we can make operational changes that will best suit the company’s needs.
Oversee/manage the drop shipping spreadsheet and accuracy, and communicate these reports to the Accounting team.
- Bachelors in a related field
- 5+ years of Logistics experience
- Knowledge/Experience in a transportation environment (i.e., Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch preferred)
- Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred
- Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills preferred
