Director of eCommerce

McGee & Co. is looking for an eCommerce Director that will support the marketing and product teams related to commerce operations. This position is an integral part of McGee & Co.’s success, coordinating media spend, and developing KPIs that keep us competitive on all digital fronts. This position is aligned with the strategies of sales, product, and marketing teams. This role is focused on driving brand awareness, on-brand site experience and direct to consumer sales within the overarching strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for collaborating with other team leads to oversee all aspects of the website that overlap with planning, marketing, and customer experience

  • Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of all website initiatives, to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of web content

  • In collaboration with the SEO team, ensure all e-commerce practices are aligned to marketing strategies

  • Manage the UX of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and execution of promotional campaigns

  • Oversee operations and strategy in collaboration with the VP of Marketing and optimize media spend

  • Oversee e-commerce sales and continually improve all web KPIs and metrics, leveraging an analytics-driven approach to increase online sales

  • Oversee variable marketing spend with a strategic approach to ROI (paid search, display advertising, retargeting, affiliates)

  • Develop sales and unit forecasts in collaboration with the planning team

  • Maintain Instagram, Facebook and Google shopping feeds

  • Optimize and maintain Google Analytics tagging and enable website and order flow automation where possible

  • Execute A/B testing to optimize conversion and AOV

  • Oversee and manage enhancements to the core e-commerce application and related systems, including integrations, maintenance, and support

  • Communicate technical requirements to engineers and manage deliverables, timelines, and costs associated with website maintenance

  • Own relationship with Netsuite ERP, and continual improvements

  • Ensure all webpages and website enhancements are launched after thorough QA

  • Provide weekly reports for website KPIs and performance

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of e-commerce, industry, technology, and trends, and be able to recommend new website products, integrations, and opportunities for the company

  • Proven leadership of large eCommerce projects

  • Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting data, test results & drawing conclusions

  • Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s identity including product, editorial, and marketing initiatives in order to develop digital strategies that meet both financial and brand-building goals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing

  • MBA/MA preferred

  • Proven leadership of eCommerce projects

  • Prior experience in retail and or related categories preferred

  • Proficient in web analytics, A/B testing and SEO initiatives

  • Netsuite and Shopify platform experience, as well as CRM and ERP

  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management and organizational skills
