Lynwood Remodel: Living & Dining Room

Achieving the perfect mix of styles can be one of the most challenging parts of design, but the end product is so rewarding. This entire project has been a study in balancing modern elements with warmer touches. In the formal living and dining areas we kept things a tad softer and I love the inviting result. We mixed natural wood tones with metal, texture and pattern, and streamlined with traditional.

The layout of this room stayed relatively the same. However, we widened the openings, added a butlers pantry, new trim work and paint. We kept the fireplace surround the same, but painted it and replaced the surround with a marble remnant from the bathrooms.
