It's the last day of our Lynwood Remodel tour - I hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have! I think the thing I love most about this home is that it just feels happy - and regardless of style, isn't that what home should be about?
Today we are wrapping things up with the mudroom and the exterior. In Utah, having a mudroom is HUGE - there are lots of slushy boots and coats to hold in the winter. And in the summertime, the mudroom serves as a great place for backpacks and outdoor gear.
This space was originally a breezeway that wasn't insulated, but it did have a cute beadboard ceiling! With Steve Tiek, we created a space that is super durable and happens to look great too. We paired traditional bluestone floors and board and batten walls with modern hooks for a classic-cool look.
