The Midway House: Mudroom

I said the office was my favorite room in the house, but I lied. I think the mudroom and adjoining powder room might win. This mudroom gets a lot of use - laundry, snow covered boots and a place for my mom to do her flowers. Oh, and it connects to the garage making it the primary entrance on most days. We selected materials to meet both form and function - from the slate herringbone floors, to the shiplap walls and butcher block counters, I could camp out in this room.
