Recently, I decided to throw a little “favorite things” party at my house. Have you ever been to one? Each person selects their favorite item under $10 and brings 3 of them. Then you exchange names and come home with 3 new favorite things! It’s such a fun time to hang out, chat, eat and learn about all these great products.
My friend, Jenni, had these amazing tablecloths from Anthro and I based the entire color palette around them. All of the dishes are from HomeGoods and Pottery Barn. The poster design is from the Caravan Shoppe that I had printed as an engineering print at Staples for only $7.
Since I have not yet found the perfect chandelier for my dining room, I decided to make one! I am not a big DIY-er, but this is something I could manage. I (ahem, my husband) simply found a leafless branch in the backyard and suspended it from the ceiling with fishing line and two screw hooks. I found the set of gold ornaments at Target for $5!!! I “foraged” berry branches from our neighborhood, used leftover Christmas tree branches and went to the flower market for the eucalyptus, hydrangea and spray roses. I just love how the garland centerpiece turned out. I took a few pics before the guests and food arrived…hope you enjoy!
