Our Kitchen Before/After

I’m in the process of updating my website and while rummaging through old pictures, I realized that I never posted before and after pics! It was quite the process to prioritize our budget and fit all of my “wants” in there. Although the kitchen was a lot of of brown, I could see that it had a great layout and just needed cosmetic updates. Here is the before/after reveal!

Cabinets: To save money, but achieve the cleaner look we were going for, I had my carpenter replace the cabinet fronts and the moulding around the uppers. I also changed the base of the island to get rid of the country legs. Last, but certainly not least, my favorite part – I removed the lonely cabinet by the sink and had floating shelves installed. I then had everything sprayed out in Valspar “White”.

The fun stuff: My splurges were on the Rohl farmhouse sink, this Kohler faucet, Visual Comfort lantern and Custom Roman Shade…you can buy the fabric here.

Countertops: Honed Carrara marble. Yes, they etch. Yes, I love them.

Knobs and Pulls: The knobs are no longer available, but the pulls are Restoration Hardware.

Backsplash: Subway tile all the way to the ceiling!
